AAIWO Successfully Conducts Three-Day HMIS Training for Health Facility In-Charges in Kandahar

AAIWO successfully conducted a three-day training on the Health Management Information System (HMIS) for Health Facility In-Charges in Kandahar Province.

The training was organized with the active participation of the HMIS Department of the AAIWO Kandahar Provincial Office and provided an opportunity to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of Health Facility In-Charges in health reporting and information management.

Throughout the training, participants reviewed key HMIS concepts, reporting requirements, and major HMIS reporting formats. The sessions focused on providing clear and practical guidance that participants can apply in their routine work at health facility level.

A key focus of the training was addressing common challenges and errors encountered during the preparation of monthly reports. Participants received practical and technical guidance on identifying and resolving these challenges, improving data accuracy, and ensuring the proper completion of reporting formats.

The training also included a hands-on practical session on monthly report preparation and completion of HMIS formats. This allowed participants to apply what they had learned and better connect technical guidance with their day-to-day responsibilities at health facilities.

The three-day training was successfully completed and contributed to strengthening the practical capacity of Health Facility In-Charges in HMIS reporting, improving data quality, and supporting the timely submission of monthly reports.
